SIH-PBS Heavy Duty Plate Rolls all have Proportional Balancing Systems for precision roll paralleling, 4 Readouts to monitor roll  positions and 3 Speed Rotation. Electronic balancing requires no mechanical parts and eliminates maintenance.

Direct coupled drives on all 3 rolls, straight line thrust on the lower rolls, electronic leveling, dual position readouts on both lower rolls and extended frame warranties ensure the highest level of Value Added Benefits to your plate roll investment.
  • Drive Trains have All 3 Rolls Powered by 3 Independent Direct Coupled High Torque Radial Piston Hydraulic Motors and Planetary Speed Reduction groups for the absolute highest efficiency of operation and greatest torque delivery to the work-piece.
  • Electronic Proportional Balancing System (PBS) maintains rolls true to parallel or cone inclination via microprocessor. Our Simple, Reliable and Precise balancing system eliminates maintenance and reduces the number of moving parts by up to 80% compared to torsion balancing systems.
  • Control Systems all include a Siemens TP Operator Interface with incorporated 4 Digital Readouts. The roll incline for cones is set directly from the mobile control console, all via pushbuttons.
  • Lateral Rolls move in Rectilinear Inclined Guides . This Rugged yet Simple design delivers the Maximum Cylinder Tonnage to the Rolls. SIH-PBS System eliminates up to 75% of the moving parts found on swing arm and torsion systems. Straight Guides on our SIH Plate Rolls reduce maintenance and significantly extend the machine life. Dual Spherical Roller Bearings at each roll end journal are larger than most competitors for Efficient, Energy Saving and long term operation
  • End Frames are truly massive single weldments offer Rigidity and Strength. End frames are further reinforced at stress nodes to efficiently distribute bending stresses and reduce torsional deflection. You Roll Accurately and Truer to Plane. Top Roll lifting and heavy duty drop end yokes facilitate safe and swift removal of rolled parts.
  • Lubrication Systems are centralized with a forced pump for positive self purging lubrication
  • 3 Speed Rotation for Improved control during pre-bending and rolling
  • Electrical Systems and wiring harnesses are built with heavy gauge copper wire to stand up to the most rugged shop environment. We do not use delicate micro-flat cables found on some other brands. PLC/CPU Components are by Siemens for trouble free operation. All control circuits are 24VAC low voltage for safety and extended component life.
  • Hydraulic Systems are integral to the machines and incorporate larger roll thrust cylinders and larger displacement hydraulic motors than other brands. Larger components and lower operating pressures increase the systems life and dramatically reduce maintenance. All systems use pilot operated non-return valves and maximum pressure overload relief valves for constant positioning under extreme loads. We use non proprietary top band name components such as Parker, SKF, Vickers, Bosh, SAI and Bonfiglioli. The goal is to protect your investment.
